Miranda Newman is a settler on the Territory and Treaty Lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit and the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, the Wendat, and the Haudenosaunee, which is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people. These lands are protected by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement that bound them to share the territory and protect the land. Miranda is grateful to live and work here.
